FIRST AID SERVICE

Minor Casualties At Caroline Bay

Members of the Timaru and Timaru North Nursing Divisions of the St. John Ambulance Association have given first aid to a considerable number of minor casualties at Caroline Bay throughout the holiday period. Although no serious cases have been reported, between 20 and 25 minor injuries have been treated each day. The majority of casualties have been persons with cut feet, caused by glass and sharp shells on the beach. More adults than children have required first aid attention this holiday period.
