DEFENCE OF FIJI
NEW ZEALAND TROOPS ON ISLAND <P.A.) WELLINGTON. Feb. 20. The Minister of Defence (the Hon F. Jones) said to-day, in reply to an inquiry that troops which left New Zealand in the middle of December and early in January, are in Fiji. Mr Jones also said that a party of V_A.'s and medical reinforcements that sailed in a hospital . ship just before Christmas proceeded to the Middle East.
