WOMEN’S DIVISION

GERALDINE BRANCH There was a good attendance at the monthly meeting of the Geraldine W.D.F.U. Mrs W. S. Crotty presided. A motion of sympathy was moved to the relatives of the late Mrs H. Turner. The president advised that owing to shortage of petrol, the dressmaking classes had been postponed indefinitely . Members agreed to support the appeal from the W.D. Rest Home. A demonstration of bottling fruit and vegetables was given by Mrs A. W. Kelman. The hostesses for the afternoon were Mesdames Bennington and Withers. The result of the monthly competitions were as follows:—Single bloom: Mrs McKenzie 1 and 2, Mrs Volckman 3. Cluster: Mrs McKenzie 1 and 2, Mrs R. A. Dixon 3.
