Womens Notes

Miss Sheila Macdonald, of Invercargill, was successful in completing her LL.B, degree at the November examinations. She is the first Southland girl to gain this distinction, which is held by only three or four other women in the whole Dominion. Miss Macdonald is a grand-daughter of the late Mr William Macalister, at whose request she took up the study of law. She is a former pupil of the Southland Girls' High School and Craighead Girls' School, Timaru, and is the first pupil of the Southland High School to gain the degree. She is at present working in the Public Trust Office. Wellington.
