Enemy Attacks Feared In U.S.A. (Rec. 6.30). WASHINGTON, Feb. 18. In the House of Representatives, Mr Bates requested Mr Carl Vinson (chairman of the House Naval Affairs Committee) to summon Colonel Knox (Secretary of the Navy) before the Comnjittee to explain what steps the Navy had taken to protect New England and the east coast from attack or sabotage. Mr Bates said persons residing m coastal areas, especially large communities, were disturbed over warnings by high Government officials that such attacks were possible.
