DAMAGED WARSHIP IN PORT
Victim Of Pearl Harbour Attack (6.30 p.m.) HONOLULU, Feb. 18. It is disclosed that the United States destroyer Shaw, which the Japanese claimed to have destroyed at Pearl Harbour, arrived safely at a port In the west coast of America. The Shaw was in dry dock at the time of the attack, and was hit repeatedly by bombs, one of which exploded in the magazine, wrecking the forward section. After repairs lasting two months the Shaw, equipped with a stub emergency bow, proceeded under her own power to the United States, where she is now being reconditioned.
