MILITARY FUNERAL
PRIVATE R. C. BELLAM Military honours were accorded the late Private Robert Chambers Bellam. whose funeral took place at 'innaru yesterday. Private Bellam served in the First N.Z.E.F. as a member of the Otago Mounted Rifles and met his death on Tuesday last as the result of an accident at Bumham. The firing party was provided by men of the 7th Battalion. Canterbury Regiment, under Sergeant-Major W. Andrew, and the same battalion provided the pallbearers. Last Post and Reveille were sounded by Bugler E. L. Reeve. The service at the Salvation Army Citadel and at the graveside was conducted by Captain P. Smith, of Sydenham, Salvation Army military padre, assisted by Captain S. Smith, Waimate, and Captain W. Simoson, Timaru.
