BRITAIN’S FASTEST FIGHTER

Minister Pilots New Typhoon LONDON, February 17. “The Times” reports that the Undersecretary for Air, Captain H. H. Balfour, piloted a Typhoon, which fully confirmed its earlier promise. The aircraft climbed at a splendid pace and its speed showed that it is undoubtedly the fastest fighter that Britain has produced. Captain Balfour, who flies each new type, has now tried out the Spitfire, Hurricane, Whirlwind and Typhoon. He is 44 years old and has been a pilot since 1915.
