WOMEN’S DIVISION

SKIPTON BRANCH The August meeting of the Skipton W.D.F.U. took the form of an evening gathering, a short meeting being held beforehand. A travel talk given was by Miss G. Riddle, of Fairlie, who was accorded a hearty vote of thanks. A short programme was presented by the junior members of the Division as follows: Pianoforte solo. Miss Yvonne Bruce; song, Miss Isabel Gudex; recitation Mr F. Woodh-..i. Messrs B. Scarlett and G. Gould conducted competitions. The monthly competitions resulted as follows:—Best bloom, Mrs Parr 1. Mrs Bruce 2. Mittens, Mrs Parr 1, Mrs Bruce 2, Miss Longson and Mrs Mrs Gudex (equal) 3. Girdle scones Mrs Bruce 1, Mrs Parr 2. Juniors:— Best bloom. Gwenyth Parr 1, Yvonne Bruce 2. Balaclava. Isabel Gudex 1, Doreen Gudsell 2, Gwenyth Parr 3.
