Jane Withers In Trotting Picture
Moviegoers have seen Jane Withers in all kinds of interesting settings, but in "Golden Hoofs,” Jane sings and dances and gets her first adult heartache against a new and more interesting background than ever before. This time the colourful and exciting sport of trotting serves as the background, and “Golden Hoofs” has been hailed as her best film to date. Another interesting point of note in "Golden Hoofs” is the fact that it brings Charles (Buddy) Rogers back to the screen after many years’ absence. Others in tre cast Include Katharine Aldridge, George Irving, and Buddy Pepper. Over seven years ago, Rogers, then one of the screen’s top stars, left Hollywood to win success as a band leader. Though he thoroughly enjoyed leading a jazz band through hectic onenight stands, theatre and radio engagements, he never lost his love of the screen, and was finally induced to resume his acting career with a top featured role in “Golden Hofs.”
