Elizabeth Bergner To Star In Hollywood
Elisabeth Bergner is to make her American movie debut as the star of “Paris Calling.” The famous actress, who appeared in “Escape Me Never” and several other British films after her Continnental experience, is expected to make a number of other pictures in Hollywood. She will, as usual, be directed by her husband, Dr Paul Czinner, in “Paris Calling.” Randolph Scott is to play the male lead. “Paris Calling,” a Barney Glazer story, is a sprightly comedy of the order of “Arise, My Love,” which won Barney the academy award for the best original story. The film has been adapted by Charles Kaufman.
