ITALIAN GENERAL KILLED
Combat Over Malta LONDON. July 28. It is reported from Rome that General Fedrigi .commander of the Italian Mediterranean air fleet, was killed in combat over Malta. Signor Ansaldo, writing in “11 Telegrafo," states that 420 aeroplanes participated in the three day action against the British convoy in the Mediterranean. The Official Italian News Agency quotes a report from Berlin to the effect that tne German press continues to comment on the great success of the Italian forces in the Mediterranean as “an audacious enterprise undertaken by small, rapid units" and a unanimously admired “operation which confirms the glorious traditions of the Italian Navy.”
