DEATH AT FIRE

Man Collapses After Giving Warning (P.A.) PALMERSTON N.. June 19. Fire which destroyed the farmhouse of Mr A. Balmer, of Pohangina, unfortunately was attended by the sudden death of Mr James Andew Nairn, aged 70, of Kohuratahi, Taranaki. While passing, Mr Nairn saw the flames, rushed inside, warned two children, and then collapsed and died. Mr Balmer was in town at the time.
