KILLED ON SERVICE

SIX TEACHERS IN AUCKLAND DISTRICT (P.A.) AUCKLAND, June 18. "We have lost six teachers,” said the chairman of the Auckland Education Board (Mr W. J. Campbell) at to-day’s meeting when three teachers on active service were reported killed: Frederick Wakelin, Herbert Scott and Alan Stuart. Mr Wakelin, formerly a relieving teacher, was killed to a road accident to Egypt; Mr Scott was assistant master at the Cambridge District High School, and Mr Stuart a probationary teacher to the Te Kuiti District High School, and later at St. Stephen’s College, Auckland.
