QUEEN OF RAROTONGA

Mrs Love Retains Title (P.A.) AUCKLAND, June 18. The appeals of Patua Rangatira, also known as W. P. Browne, and his wife, Tuvatae Rangatira, of Rarotonga, against the award of the title of Makea Nul Arikl or paramount chief to Mrs Takau Rio Love have been dismissed by Mr Justice Ostler. The appeals were against the decision made to Mrs Love’s favour in February, 1940, by Judge Ayson of the High Court of the Cook Islands.
