FARMHAND’S DEATH

ACCIDENTAL DISCHARGE OF GUN (P.A.) WAIROA, May 23. Frank Thomas Reidy, a farmhand, single, aged 34, was found dead in a gateway at Morere yesterday. Evidence at the inquest revealed that Reidy was apparently passing through a gateway carrying a shot-gun, and, in attempting to shut the gate, the weapon caught some obstruction, causing the explosion of a charge, killing him Instantly. A verdict of accidental death was returned.
