Melvyn Douglas’s Long List of Leading Ladies
Melvyn Douglas has played opposite and made love to more screen heroines than any other Hollywood actor. Rosalind Russell is the latest actress to join the procession of Douglas’s leading ladies. She is co-starred with him in Columbia’s new comedy, “This Thing Called Love.” Other stars with whom Douglas has starred are Gloria Swanson, Greta Garbo, Constance Bennett, Barbara Stanwyck, Irene Dunne, Joan Crawford, Virginia Bruce, Claudette Colbert, Joan Biondell, Loretta Young, Norma Shearer, Myrna Loy and Margaret Sullavan.
