THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK

Life is a throbbing, eager, ceaseless quest. In search of beauty, who with outstretched hands Is ever waiting her with eyes to see. But some are blind, or have no time to grasp The prize within their reach. Oh God, Great Lover Of all things fair, which Thou Thyself hast made, Guard Thou mine eyes, that I may never miss Whate’er of beauty, be it e’er so small. That waits me, as I journey through my life— That I, swift to appreciate, may give Thee thanks For having filled my life with lovely things.
