' But it was not empty very long, for Janet’s auntie heard of Dick’s fate, and one day she came to the house when Janet was at school and brought a canary with her and put him in the cage. When Janet came home she could hardly believe . there, .really. was a canary there again. She takes splendid care of him. He is alive to-day; and I am nearly sure that this very minute, If It is daytime, and especially if the sun is Shining, Dick is singing gaily.
