BATHER DROWNED
FAILED TO COME UP AFTER DIVE By Telegraph—Press Association WHANGAREI, December 30. Diving into a swimming pool at the Central Park on Saturday evening, Albert Lurman. single, aged 27. whose parents reside at Otorohanga, failed to come to the surface. Seven minutes later his body was recovered, life being extinct. There was no mark to show that he had struck the bottom. A companion said that Lurman was seen to swerve when diving in order to miss a child. He was to have gone into camp with the Fifth Reinforcements.
