Trouble Over Butter Ration By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright (Received December 19, 10.38 p.m.) DUBLIN, December 18. Internees at Curragh Camp caused damage amounting to £lO,OOO in weekend riots, following a reduced butter ration. The internees used pieces of iron bedsteads to attack the guards, a number of whom were injured. They then tried to set fire to the buildings, upon which the guards fired and wounded two. Next day the internees refused to parade and surged towards the guards who fired, killing one.
