FOOD FOR ALL
German Survey Of Europe By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright (Received December 19, 6.30 p.m.) BERLIN, December 18. The Institute of Business Research claims that not only Germany but the whole of Europe has sufficient foodstuffs and agricultural resources to guarantee feeding all the countries under German administration. The institute adds that Europe without England is capable of attaining a 90 per cent self-sufficiency, and concludes that Germany is in a position to guarantee the feeding of every individual on the Continent. Poland is excluded from the list showing each country’s production. An official of the Ministry of Economic Warfare pointed out that Poland was the only country in Europe facing anything approaching starvation. He added that a growing food shortage apparently exists among the 2,000,000 workers imported to Germany from occupied countries.
