C. 1.0. Rejects Proposal By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright NEW YORK, November 19. Mr John L. Lewis, whose resignation from the presidency of the Congress of Industrial Organisation was reported yesterday, said at the Congress Convention that there could be no honourable peace with the American Federation of Labour until the Congress was strong enough to bargain on equal terms. He rejected a suggestion that exploratory negotiations should be resumed with the committee of the Federation of Labour.
