Australia’s “Wrong way Corrigan,” Squadron Leader Guy Menzies is reported missing after flying operations in Egypt. His parents, who reside in the suburb of Drummoyne, have received a message to this effect from their son’s wife in England. Squadron Leader Menzies it will be recalled, was the first aviator to fly the Tasman solo. His feat was strangely parallel to "Wrong way Corrigan” crossing the Atlantic three years ago. Squadron Leader Menzies had intended to fly to Perth, but set off for New Zealand without a permit.
