GERALDINE RAIN WELCOME

Pastures Well Drenched Shorn Sheep May Be Affected Farm pastures in the Geraldine district received a good drenching this week when the dry spell was broken by a good fall of rain on Tuesday. Further falls on Wednesday and yesterday made a total rainfall of 91 points for the falls this week, which exceeds the total fall of 65 points registered for the month of November in 1939. Although the rain was welcomed by most farmers and home gardeners, shearing will probably be a little delayed and, if a cold snap follows, sheep shorn in the past few days are likely to be affected by the cold. The rainfall recorded to date this year at Geraldine is 25.52in5.
