China’s determination to fight on until a “just and honourable peace” is secured is reaffirmed in authoritative Chinese quarters here. It is learned that the Chinese Government has no knowledge of any new Japanese peace efforts apart from press reports originating in Toklo. One Chinese commentator described these reports as a repetition of Japan’s earlier manoeuvres to create a false atmosphere beneficial to her plans.
