CHINA’S FIGHT

Contribution to World Welfare British Official Wireless (Received March 19, 6.30 p.m.) RUGBY, March 18. China is fighting for the same ideals of political liberty as those which inspired Britain to take up arms in the European conflict, said the Chinese Ambassador (Mr Ouo Tai-chi) in a speech in London. It was therefore of supreme importance to Britain not to lose sight of the bearing of China’s struggle in the present attempt on the part of the democracies to re-establish law and order. He asked if anything could be of greater promise to British and world welfare than a strong Chinese democracy.
