MOTOR ACCIDENTS

COMMITTEE OF INQUIRY By Telegraph—Press Association WELLINGTON, March 4. The Minister of Justice (the Hon. H. G. R. Mason) announced to-day that in order to give motorists separate representation on the committee for liability for motor accidents, Mr W. A. O’Callaghan, of Hawera (North Island Motor Union), and Mr R. Wilson, of Timaru (South Island Union) had, as a result of consultation with the respective organisations, been added to the committee, the other members of which are Messrs H. H. O’Leary, K.C., R. Caughley, J. H. Jerram, W. E. Leicester and J. Read.

Owing to previous engagements of various committee members, said the Minister, it had not been possible for them to hear evidence before Easter. April 8 had been fixed as the day when the first witnesses would be called.
