PIGEON RACING
TIMARU CLUB The second young bird race of the Timaru Pigeon Club was flown on Saturday from Christchurch, a distance of 91 miles airline. The stationmaster liberated the birds at 8 a.m. in fine weather. The results were:— R. Anderson’s Morag's Glen, 1118.23 yards per minute 1 Elliot and Austin’s No. 45, 1115.71 .. 2 Elliot and Austin's No. 25, 1115.71 .. 3 W. Ellem’s Sparkle, 1107.99 4 W.
