Crocodiles, maddened by hunger, are killing many cattle trapped at Roper River Bay by the floods in the Northern Territory. Thousands of head of stock have been drowned. Messages sent by pedal wireless reported record floods in the Roper River. The valley is covered on all but the highest land. No deaths of whites or aborigines have been reported.
