In a Sheffield Shield cricket match against Victoria Queensland in the first innings made 244 (Brown 60, Cook 64, Allen 42). Ring took three wickets for 71, Fleetwood Smith three for 77 and Johnson three for 16. Victoria in the first innings have made 28 without loss.
