Submarine Prevents Attack On Convoy United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright (Received January 19, 9.30 p.m.) PARIS, January 18. M. Alphonse Rio, Minister of Mercantile Marine, disclosed that the German pocket battleship Deutschland was out recently but did not attack an Atlantic convoy owing to the presence of a submarine.
