THOROUGH WORK
Air Force Photographs Of
Germany
United Press Association— By Electric Telegraph—Copyright
LONDON, January 17.
The photographs of Germany taken by Royal Air Force reconnaissance pilots are remarkable for their thoroughness and efficiency. They will be an effective reply to German propaganda pictures like that of the Firth of Forth raid, regarding which American picture papers expressed such enthusiasm. Many of the Royal Air Force pictures are obviously taken from heights of only 2000 or 3000 feet, whereas the German pictures of Britain have all been taken from great heights. It is believed that for every photograph which the Nazis have taken of England and France the Royal Air Force secured 50 of Germany. One shows a large German air base with 20 war aeroplanes preparing tn take off. Details like the engines and air screws are visible.
