BOY DROWNED

KERRYTOWN FATALITY A verdict that the cause of death was asphyxiation due to drowning was returned by the Coroner, Mr C. W. Wood, at the inquest, which was held at Kerrytown yesterday, into the cause of the death of Richard Bruce Williams, aged 9 years 7 months, who jumped into an irrigation ditch to rescue a small boy who at the time was in apparent difficulties. The Coroner expressed his sympathy with the parents.
