There was active trading on the Stock Exchange to-day and leading Industrials were firmer. Tooth and Co’s, profits touched a new high record of £855,709 for the year, or £13,781 more than last year. The dividend is raised to 12 per cent. Sales were:—

It is very difficult to. place new business. Promise of increased allocations for civilian requirements has slightly eased the position.
