Christchurch— Yesterday was mainly overcast and warm with a moderate to strong north-easterly Ureeze. The ma cimum temperature was 68.2 degrees. The barometer fell to remain steady at 29.39 inches at 5 p.m. Geraldine— Nor-west conditions prevailed until late yesterday afternoon, when a southerly blew up and brought rain. Temuka— Yesterday a north-wester in the morning gave place to a blustering southerly in the afternoon. Th? maximum temperature was 68 degrees and the minimum 40. The glass was steady last evening. Waimate (for the 24 hours ended 9 a.m. yesterday)—Barometer, 29.1; thermometer, maximum 60.8, minimum 43.2; bright sunshin , 7 hours 42 minutes; wind gauge, miles run in last 24 hours, 43. Yesterday was sunny and warm in the morning, but later became overcast and cold. Dunedin — The sky was overcast early yesterday morning and heavy rain showers fell during the day. There was little wind. Temperatures were mild, the maximum being 59 degrees. The barometer was rising in the afternoon at 29.67 inches (1005 millibars).
