A YEAR’S IMPRISONMENT By Telegraph —Pies* Association CHRISTCHURCH, August 31. Opening account 1 : with different banks under assumed names Roy Polson, aged 32. obtained from city firms numerous amounts of money and goods of a total value of £B7 before he was apprehended by the police. This morning he appeared before Mr E. C. Levvey, S.M., on 12 charges of obtaining goods and money by false pretences. On each of the first two he was sentenced tc r ix months’ hard labour, the sentences to be cumulative. He was convicted and discharged on the others.
