COLD WEEK-END There were six degrees of frost on Saturday and the morning was cold. Yesterday was dull and overcast with cold temperatures in the evening. Min. on grass—3l.6. Frcst—.4 Wind —Nil. Rainfall —Nil. Rainfall to date this year—4.42ins. Rainfall to date last year—l6.64ins. Sunshine —1.2 hours. Sunshine to date this year—922.2hrs. Sunshine to date last year—7Bs.shrs. IN OTHER CENTRES Christchurch: The weather over the week-end was fine. Saturday was cloudy with little wind. The maximum temperature was 55.8 degrees. Yesterday was cloudy but fine, with a light easterly wind. At 5 p.m. the barometer recorded 30.31 inches and was falling.
Dunedin: Dull but fine weather was experienced on Saturday. There was no wind and the maximum temperature was 54 degrees. Yesterday was calm and a trifle hazy. The maximum temperature was 56 degrees. The barometer fell slightly to 30.30 inches.
