THINGS EVERY GARDENER SHOULD KNOW
No matter how many years one may continue to study and practice any branch of horticulture, there will always remain something still to be learned concerning seeds, but there are some important facts which the beginner needs to learn right at the start.
We can quite understand a novice thinking that, because he can secure packets of either flower or vegetable seeds at a multiple store depot for a few coppers, it would be needless extravagance to pay the higher prices quoted in the catalogues of firms we call specialists. There is no need, and it would be unjustifiable to condemn what may be termed cheap packet seeds merely because they are priced at small figures.
