GIFT EVENING

BRIDE-ELECT ENTERTAINED Miss Betty Holdgate. North Street, was again the guest of honour when the Misses Norma Gabites, North Street, and Jean Macdonald, North Street, entertained her at a most enjoyable trump whist party last night. Miss Gabites’ home, decorated with hydrangeas and asters was the scene of the cheery function. A presentation of a beautiful tray was made by the guests to Miss Holdgate. The guests included Mesdames A. G. Tait, A. B. Herdman, E. J. Melrose, R. A. Anderson, N. Gabites, Misses Betty Holdgate, Isobel Duncan, Isa Young, Mary Mackenzie, Margaret Hassall, Rita Palliser, Belle Morton, Molly Cave, Sara Morgan, Molly Evans, Betty Sutherland, Isla Allport and Kit Macdonald.
