OPPOSITION TO VOTES FOR WOMEN
United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright (Received March 29, 6.30 p.m.) WINDHOEK, March 28. The legislature is requesting the Union Government to amend the constitution of South-West Africa to enfranchise women. The Deutscher Bund representative Mr Meinert, opposed the proposal, on the grounds that the Germans would thereby be placed in such an minority that it would not be worth while to contest any constituency.
