HANDICAP TO THERMIDOR By Telegraph—Press Association DUNEDIN, January 13. The Vincent Jockey Club’s annual meeting opened at Matakanui to-day in fine but windy weather. There was a large attendance and the racing was good throughout with some exciting finishes. A feature of the meeting was the operation of the new totalisator, which handled £5526/10/-, compared with £5103/10/- for the first day last year, an increase of £423.
