Mr Attlee sat at the right of the King, who, after coffee, followed Earl Baldwin’s example, smoked a pipe and listened to the Labour views of the nation’s affairs. The special political correspondent of “The Daily Mail” says: “Further parties are pending to enable the King to meet other leaders.
