Against this totalitarian propaganda, however, are a number of questions outstanding between the United States and various Latin American countries, such as expropriation by Mexico and trade questions, including credits to the Argentine and the whole problem of how far the United States can go to guarantee, by force, the principles it will enunciate. “Concerns Us All” The United States Secretary of State (Mr Cordell Hull), however, in a wireless address before the opening of the conference, reaffirmed that “we are determined that peace will be maintained in the American continents, and we are in agreement that any menace to that peace, is a matter concerning us all.”
