RETURN TO THE STATES By Telegraph—Press Association AUCKLAND, November 9. The United States warship Maury left Auckland this morning on the return voyage to the United States. A big crowd assembled to bid her farewell. Auckland liked the visitors, and Lieutenant-Commander E. M. Thompson, representing the crew was warm in his expression of their liking for New Zealand and New Zealanders. The vessel which has been on an extended cruise in the Pacific, will make calls at Pago Pago and Honolulu, arriving at San Francisco on December 3.
