HARRIERS UMARU CUB The Timaru Harrier Club held its senior and junior championship races on Saturday, flora Caroline Bay. the senior title going to T. Chivas and the junior to C. Johns. Although tlie runners found the course very heavy going, the times compared favourably with last year. Last year’s senior champion. D. G. Squire and junior champion. F. W. Walton did not defend their titles. After the race. Mrs Seaton entertained the runners and officials at afternoon tea. On behalf of the clut Mr T. Shivas thanked Mrs Seaton fot her hospitality. Mr M. Seaton replying on behalf of his mother. The following are the results:—

ANGLICAN CLUB The Timaru Anglican Harrier Chib defeated the Christchurch Anglican Harrier Club for the Shellcase trophy, at Ashburton on Saturday. The points gained were: Timaru 35. Christchurch 43.
