STORE DESTROYED

FIRE AT ST. ANDREWS Early yesterday morning fire completely destroyed the combined general store billiard saloon and residence owned and occupied by Mr J. V. Foxon. About 2.30 Mr and Mrs Foxon were awakened by a passing motorist who shouted a warning to them that the residence was in flames. The lire spread quickly and the occupants had barely time to grasp a few articles of clothing. With the exception of a wireless set and a chair the whole of the stock and furniture was lost in the blaze. As far as can be ascertained the fire commenced in the billiards saloon on the south side of the building.
