£300,000 WANTED
NEEDS OF WELLINGTON DIOCESE By Teleeraph -Frcs-s AAsoclatiuc WELLINGTON, July 15. “To-night is one of the most critical hours in the life of the Diocese,” said the Bishop cf Wellington, the Rt. Rev. H. St.B. Holland, addressing the Anglican Synod of the Diocese to-night. He moved that the Synod approve the centennial appeal campaign for £300,000 —£200,000 for building the new Wellington cathedral anr : £lOO.OOO for the Bishop’s fighting fund for meeting th? needs and emergencies of the diocese and its component parishes. Synodesmen signified their unanimous approval by standing while the Bishop led them in prayer that the undertaking, by Gods grace, should De brought to a successful conclusion.
