During the absence of their parents at a neighbours, three children, Shirley Croke, aged nine, Winifred Croke, aged seven, and David Croke, aged five, were burned to death in a wooden hut, 19 miles from Camden last night.

The parents and two elder daughters were playing cards in a neighbour’: when the fire occurred. They were unable to rescue the children owing to the flames having too great a hold.
