NEARLY 27 YEARS OLD
FAMOUS AYRSHIRE COW STILL CONSISTENTLY MILKED Although Victoria, an Ayrshire cow owned by Messrs Korff Brothers, of Campbelltown, Is now rising 27 years of age, she is still active and a very useful member of the Glengowan herd. This wonderful cow, in spite of.the fact that she has not been in calL'tor thre‘l years, has been consistently .’inilkefi during that period. She was first submitted for test at the age of 18 years, when she produced 15,595 lbs milk, representing 573 lbs, butter-fat, within 273 days. At 22 years of age, she produced 13,312 lbs milk averaging 4.1 per cr t test, and equalling 542.06 lb but-ter-fat, while for the following year her figures were 10,977 lbs milk, 4.1 per cent test, and 448.36 lb fat. Victoria is the dam of Glengowan Joyce and granddam of Glengowan Joy, each of which is renowned for her high producing qualities.
